Elizabeth Ellis grew up in Hertfordshire, has lived in various corners of England and spent several years in France. She studied English at college while training as a teacher and has had a career in education, working in many fields including French and English language teaching and special needs. She holds a diploma in French from the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Elizabeth now devotes her time to writing. In recent years, she has developed her craft through workshops, on-line study and a three-month course at the Faber Academy. She is an active member of the Letchworth Garden City writers group.
Passionate about all things to do with language and communication, Elizabeth is also the co-founder and trustee of a small charity, which raises money for health care services in rural Bangladesh. She is married with three daughters and lives in North Herts. Living with Strangers is her first novel.
